USEON Introduces U6 High-Torque Twin-Screw Extruder Platform at CHINAPLAS 2026

U6 twin screw extruder

As performance requirements in plastics processing and advanced compounding applications continue to evolve, extrusion systems are facing increasingly demanding expectations. Beyond higher throughput and broader process flexibility, there is a growing need for long-term operational stability under complex and high-load conditions.

In response to—and with the ambition to lead—this industry trend, USEON will officially introduce its next-generation co-rotating twin-screw extrusion platform, the U+ series, at CHINAPLAS 2026, opening on April 21, 2026, in Shanghai.

The launch of the U+ platform represents a significant step forward for locally developed high-end extrusion systems. Its key highlight lies in achieving 18 Nm/cm³ specific torque, making it the first commercially available co-rotating twin-screw platform at this level developed by a Chinese manufacturer. This performance benchmark, long associated with leading European equipment, is now realized through a fully integrated design approach. The U6 model, featured at the exhibition, combines high torque output, excellent processing efficiency, and broad application flexibility—allowing it to handle demanding scenarios such as high filler loading, intensive compounding, and complex formulations with greater ease and consistency.

Built around the concept of high-performance operation, the U6 platform incorporates a comprehensively upgraded machine architecture. With a maximum screw speed of 1000 rpm, it significantly enhances dispersive mixing efficiency and throughput, while maintaining process stability and repeatability. To ensure mechanical robustness and long-term reliability from the ground up, key components are sourced from established European suppliers, including the gearbox, safety coupling, shafting, and screw elements. This solid hardware foundation supports stable operation under high-load conditions and enables reliable, continuous production performance.

In terms of digitalization and machine management, U6 introduces an advanced level of condition monitoring. The integrated online monitoring system continuously tracks essential parameters such as lubrication oil temperature, pressure, and level, while extending its capabilities to include lubricant condition, bearing vibration, and axial force. By providing deeper insight into machine health, the system allows users to move from conventional reactive maintenance toward more efficient predictive maintenance strategies. In addition, an optional screw torque monitoring system is available for advanced process control, enabling users to better understand load variations and further optimize processing windows and formulations.

As a future-oriented high-performance platform, the value of the U+ series goes beyond a single performance metric. It is designed to deliver stable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions across a wide range of applications, including engineering plastics compounding, high filler systems, masterbatch production, and plastics recycling. With enhanced efficiency and adaptability, U+ helps customers reduce overall operating costs while strengthening their competitive position in the market.

The debut of the U+ series at CHINAPLAS 2026 marks an important advancement in both core performance and overall reliability for domestically developed twin-screw extrusion technology. We warmly invite industry partners and customers to visit us at the exhibition, experience the new platform firsthand, and engage with our team to explore application requirements and future processing challenges.
