USEON has completed the commissioning of a new 1,300 kg/h XPS foam board production line for Mega Insulation in Türkiye. As one of Türkiye’s leading insulation manufacturers, Mega Insulation operates a 125,000 m² production area, exports to more than 20 countries, and offers a broad portfolio covering rock wool, XPS, EPS, and other building insulation solutions.
The new investment further expands Mega Insulation’s XPS manufacturing capacity and complements its integrated insulation product portfolio. Built around the TDS110-TDD300 tandem extrusion system, the line adopts CO₂ foaming technology and integrates the key process stages required for continuous XPS board production. The tandem configuration combines a TDS110 high-torque twin-screw extruder with a TDD300 single-screw extruder, providing efficient material mixing, stable extrusion, and controlled melt cooling before foaming and shaping.
Designed for high-output XPS insulation board manufacturing, the line delivers a production capacity of up to 1,300 kg/h and a line speed of up to 30 m/min. The system is configured to maintain stable processing conditions while supporting consistent board quality at higher production rates.
Both main extruders are equipped with IE5 permanent-magnet motors to improve drive efficiency and help reduce energy consumption. The line also uses a Siemens PLC and industrial PC control system for coordinated operation and process monitoring.
The complete production line integrates:
- Six-component loss-in-weight dosing system
- TDS110 high-torque twin-screw extruder
- TDD300 single-screw extruder
- Siemens PLC and industrial PC control system
- Downstream equipment for leveling, pulling, milling, grooving, cutting, stacking, and packaging
- Production capacity of up to 1,300 kg/h
- Line speed of up to 30 m/min
The successful commissioning further strengthens Mega Insulation’s XPS manufacturing capabilities and adds a high-capacity production platform to its already broad insulation portfolio. With an output of up to 1,300 kg/h, stable process control, energy-efficient drive technology, and integrated downstream handling, the new line gives Mega Insulation greater production capacity and flexibility to serve projects in Türkiye and international markets. The project also reflects USEON’s ability to deliver complete XPS extrusion solutions from dosing and extrusion through board finishing and packaging.
