Hydrolysis reaction

Esterification reaction is the first step in the synthesis of PET, occurs in the process of melting polycondensation, solid state polycondensation and extrusion. As an equilibrium reaction, esterification is always accompanied by a reverse reaction, that is hydrolysis.

Thermal degradation reaction

The thermal degradation happens when the temperature is higher than the melting point, which is inevitable. As the activation energy of the thermal degradation reaction is higher than that of the polycondensation reaction. The thermal degradation becomes heavier and heavier with the increase of temperature.

PET Foam Sheet

USEON PET Micro-foam Sheet

Lower density, lower-cost solution for PET/PLA thermoforming sheets. Reduce the consumption of the raw materials for thermoforming sheet.

Multi-layer structure: physically foamed central layer and solid both side skin layers.
Density: 0.8-1.1g/cm3.
Thickness ranged: 0.5-1.5mm.

The production cost 5-30% lower compared to the whole solid sheet.
